Entertaining nature 2007

- Mixed media : soil, rock, moss, sand, perspex block, toy monkey, mirror ball, variable projected light source. This installation was made in response to a site within a dark, damp gallery basement with bare rock walls.
It has been argued that a sense of wilderness exists in the very construction of language. Culture arising from its relationship with nature. Notions of the untamed dark forests giving us a rich history of myth and folklore. The human species regards itself as the central figure in the universe but what of other possibilities, other perceptions?
